Oberammergau Passion Play 2030
They take place every ten years: the famous Passion Play in Oberammergau – and for the 43rd time in the year 2030!
The "Passionsspiele Oberammergau" has a long tradition, and the history goes like this: to put an end to the misery of the plague, the people of Oberammergau swore an oath in 1633 to perform the Passion of Christ every ten years – the first performance took place the following year.
The next Passion Play will be held from May 18 to October 30, 2030.
